Guitar Academy of Southern Delaware is a private studio offering private lessons and group classes, which opened its doors in April 2010. Its owner, Douglas Seth, however is all but new to the world of music education. He has 20 years of teaching experience and believes there are no limitations for those wanting to learn the art of guitar.

The Guitar Academy prides itself on providing the finest guitar education through a well structured, goal based curriculum. The most ambitious students have the opportunity participate in the Guitar Academy's own Guitar Excellence and Mastery (GEM) Program as well as the Royal Conservatory of Music Development Program. This program is internationally acclaimed for its excellence in music education and provides a clear structure as well as an unbiased national standard for recognizing and rewarding excellence.

 

Our students have won guitar competitions, achieved scores in the highest categories possible for the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program assessment tests (2014 Gold Medalist), been accepted to major university guitar programs, and performed in a variety of venues.

We also offer lessons to the hobbyist who just wants to learn faster in a goal based atmosphere.

 

The Guitar Academy also hosts Masterclasses for students to enhance their instruction.
